VectraCor awarded Vizient Innovative technology contract for its VectraplexECG. Read more.

Totowa, NJ and Maple Grove, MN – December 12, 2014 – VectraCor Inc., a medical device company with a novel cardiac electrical biomarker called the CEB®, and QRS Diagnostic , a healthcare technology and medical supplies provider, announced that they have entered into a definitive agreement under which VectraCor has agreed to acquire QRS Diagnostic. The deal was closed December 12th 2014. Following this closing, the company will do business as QRS Diagnostic – A VectraCor Company. VectraCor Inc. will retain staff and an office in Minnesota, while moving some functions to New Jersey.

VectraCor has been selected for ACEP’s InnovatED exhibition, which is a hands-on experiential space to showcase innovations in emergency medicine. VectraplexECG System and Vectraplex Mobile Monitor (FDA-pending) will both be featured at this showcase taking place during the national ACEP convention in Chicago – October 26-29. VectraCor is pleased to announce that the VectraplexECG System is now officially a source device that is compatible with the Datamed EKG Format Translator. This means that the VectraplexECG System will be able to connect to over 30 EKG Managements Systems/Cardiology Information Systems. For a full list, click the link below and scroll to page 2:

VectraCor is proud to announce that the company received an award from EMS WORLD as the “2013 Top EMS Innovation Award” for our VectraplexECG Rugged unit. VectraCor is very happy to receive this honor from the EMS World Editorial Advisory Board. We would also like to pay our condolences to EMS World and the family of Mike Smith, who was the judge for this year’s award. We were very sad to hear of Mike Smith’s passing. Although we only met Mike at the EMS World EXPO meeting in Las Vegas, his enthusiasm for our product was very much appreciated. His passing is a major loss for the EMS and medical community, but the impression he left on us will be remembered forever.

A paper on the VectraCor derived ECG technology has been accepted by the American Journal of Emergency Medicine (AJEM). The American Journal of Emergency Medicine, “Derivation of the 12-lead electrocardiogram and 3-lead Vectorcardiogram”, Volume 31 (2013) 1183-1190.

January 2013
VectraCor is pleased to announce that at the American College of Cardiology (ACC) on March 11, 2013 Dr. Larisa Tereshchenko, The Johns Hopkins Hospital, will present their findings on the VectraplexECG System with VectraplexAMI (CEB)®. The meeting is in San Francisco at the Moscone Convention Center.
The Johns Hopkins Hospital received acceptance from the American College of Cardiology (ACC) for their abstract titled: “New Cardiac Electrical Biomarker (CEB) ® Measured on a 12-lead ECG Strongly Correlates with High Sensitivity Troponin in Patients Admitted to the Emergency Department to Rule Out Acute Myocardial Ischemic Injury”

VectraCor was awarded the “Best Electronics/Advanced Materials Company” at the NJTC Venture Conference on March 25, 2011. The New Jersey Technology Council provides business support, networking opportunities, information, advocacy and recognition of technology companies and their leaders.

The Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) – Scientific Award for Research Awards
Dr. David Schreck as a recipient of the 2011 Annual Scientific Awards. The award will be formally presented during the Society’s Poster Award Presentation to be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 from 1:00pm-1:30pm in Room 11 of the San Diego Convention Center in conjunction with the 40th Critical Care Congress. The award is intended to recognize excellence in critical care research. Dr. Schreck’s abstract is Abstract #1, titled “Detection of Acute Myocardial Infarction Using a Real-Time Cardiac Electrical Biomarker”. There were almost 1200 abstracts reviewed.
